The artwork above titled " Mother and
Child" I probably done it so many times over in about every medium you can think of. This one in the beginning
stage I formed earthenware clay and shaped into a large relief sculpture and then a made a large mother mold of it with Polytec
urethane, and molding plaster.I then proceeded to cast this piece in polyester, primed it and painted it with acrylics, oils
and pastels. I've experimented with this process many times and made other copys of it in Plaster of Paris and "Hydracal
and fiberglass.

or sculpture or both. Always a beautiful result...
This mermaid project is being made in stoneware clay and I'll probably add marble mosaics for the background and mount this mural on a hardie backer board. As far as the glazing goes, I'm undecided at this time... |
